Project Loop

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

Project Loop ("the app") is developed by Bart de Voogt and is available on iPhone, iPad, and Android. This policy explains how the app handles your data. In short: your loops and recordings stay on your device; we do not sell your data.

Microphone

Project Loop uses the microphone (or a connected USB / external audio interface) to record and loop live audio. Recorded audio is processed and stored locally on your device for looping and playback. It is not uploaded to our servers.

Camera, photos, and screen capture (optional)

Optional features such as Social Rec may use the camera, photo library access, or screen/audio capture so you can create and save performance videos. That media is created and stored on your device (or shared by you through the system share sheet). We do not upload it to our servers.

Bluetooth

Project Loop can use Bluetooth to connect MIDI controllers and wireless audio devices. Bluetooth is used solely for connecting these devices and not for collecting or selling personal data.

Purchases

Optional Pro upgrades are handled by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android). Payment details are processed by Apple or Google under their privacy policies. We receive purchase/entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features, not your full payment card details.

Advertising (free tier)

The free tier may show ads via Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect advertising identifiers and related device/usage data to deliver and measure ads, subject to Google’s privacy policy and your platform privacy settings. Purchasing Pro removes ads where applicable.

Data we do not sell

We do not sell your personal data. Specifically:

Local storage

Loops, recordings, settings, and optional Social Rec media are saved locally on your device so you can reload your work. You can delete this data by clearing content in the app or uninstalling the app.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for our own marketing.
